Tirzepatide
Updated April 28, 2026
Primary Benefits:
- Supports powerful weight loss through appetite suppression
- Improves blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity
- Helps manage type 2 diabetes and prediabetic states
- Promotes cardiovascular and metabolic health
- May reduce inflammation and improve body composition
Mechanism of Action:
Tirzepatide is a synthetic peptide that mimics two key incretin hormones: GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). By acting on both receptors, it enhances insulin secretion, suppresses appetite, slows gastric emptying, and promotes fat loss. This dual action makes it one of the most effective peptides for treating obesity and metabolic syndrome.
