Reconstituting peptides is an essential process to ensure their stability and effectiveness. In this guide, we’ll take you through the proper steps to safely mix your purified peptide powder into a ready-to-use solution.

Materials Needed:
- Your peptide vial
- Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) – for mixing
- 3ml syringe – for drawing and transferring liquid
- 1-inch syringe tip – to release pressure
- Alcohol wipes – for sanitization
- Peptide vial
- Gloves (optional but recommended)
Step-by-Step Instruction
1. Prepare a Clean Workspace
- Wash your hands thoroughly (or wear gloves).
- Sanitize your workspace with an alcohol wipe.
- Take off the caps from the BAC water and peptide vials, then use an alcohol wipe to sanitize each rubber seal.
2. Draw BAC Water into the Syringe
- Pull back the plunger of the 3mL syringe to draw air into the barrel
- Insert the needle into the center of the BAC water vial’s rubber seal.
- Push the air in. This creates pressure in the vial, making it easier to withdraw the liquid.
- Turn the vial upside down.
- Slowly draw 2.5mL of BAC water into the syringe.
- Ensure no air bubbles remain in the barel
3. Vent the Peptide Vial
- Take a 1-inch syringe tip and insert it at an angle along the edge of the middle ring of the rubber seal. This vent allows air to escape while injecting the bac-water and prevents pressure buildup during the mixing process.
4. Inject BAC Water into the Peptide Vial
- Insert the needle of the 3ml syringe filled with BAC water into the center of the peptide vial’s rubber seal.
- Slowly inject the BAC water, letting it run down the outer wall of the vial instead of shooting directly onto the powder (this helps prevent foaming).
5. Let the Peptide Dissolve
- Gently turn (do not shake) the vial on its side until the peptide powder is fully dissolved.
- As needed, let it sit for a few minutes to allow complete dissolution.
Important Notes:
- Use reconstituted peptides within the recommended timeframe (typically a few weeks, depending on the peptide).
- Keep the vial in the refrigerator (2-8°C) to maintain stability. Do not freeze.
- Always use a sterile syringe and never reuse needles.
- Consult a healthcare professional if unsure about dosing or administration.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure safe and effective peptide reconstitution.
